one of provided sports tracking app before time limit to complete your registration. Ensure the chosen app with connected account is activated when you run to track your running activity.

Run

safely by practicing physical distancing starting from 15 November. After completing your race category distance, submit your activity data in Registrant Area before 30 November.

Share

your race result to social media using hashtag #BorobudurMarathon2020 and wait for finisher entitlement made by the collaboration between Borobudur Marathon and people of Magelang delivered to the registered address.

Terms & Conditions

By participating in Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 including, but not limited to, registering in this website, Participant shall be considered to have accepted and agreed to comply and be bound to the entire rules and regulations, as well as terms and conditions prepared by the organizers of Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 (the “Organizer”). In the event that there are rules and regulations, or terms and conditions that are not agreeable, you may leave, and not register to, this website.

  1. Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 is a separate event from the Borobudur Marathon 2020.
  2. Participants are obliged to obey any provisions on Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 as set out by the Organizer, including those conveyed and/or announced separately by way of any media, after the Participant performed registration.
  3. Participant hereby understood that Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 emphasizes on physical activity ensured that the Participant is in healthy physical condition and can participate in Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020, both during the registration or during the performance of activities in Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020. In the event that the Participant is unhealthy, injured, or unable to perform the activities in Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 due to any reason whatsoever, then the Participant is not allowed to run until his/her condition allows.
  4. Organizer is not responsible and liable for costs, expenses, or damages in any form whatsoever, caused by the following:
    • Congenital diseases;
    • Accident during participation at Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020;
    • Loss and/or damage of personal properties during participation at Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020; and/or
    • Diseases caused by the infection of Covid-19 during participation at Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020.
  1. Minimum age of participation is 17 years old.
  2. Subject to the age provision as referred to in Paragraph 1 of this section, all Indonesian or foreign citizens can register as Participant.
  3. Participants are healthy physically and mentally.
  4. Participant guarantees that to the best of his/her knowledge, he/she is not suffering from a disease caused, either directly or indirectly, by the Covid-19 virus infection, both during registration and during the performance of activities in the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020.
  5. In performing registration, the Participant agrees to provide accurate, updated and complete information on the Participant, as filled out in the registration form (“Registration Data”).
  6. Participants may only register using 1 email address and only for 1 category. Organizer has the right to verify the Registration Data to ensure compliance to this provision. In the event that a Participant is found to be registered using 2 or more email addresses, the Participant shall be subject to disqualification and/or prohibition from participating in the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 or in the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge and/or Borobudur Marathon events in the future.
  7. All Participants are required to include their domicile address and delivery address for the finisher entitlements.
  8. Organizer has the right to suspend or terminate the Participant’s registration if the Organizer becomes aware that the Participant provides inaccurate, outdated, and/or incomplete information.
  9. At the time of registration or any other time determined by the Organizer, the Participant will be asked to connect and synchronize his/her activity tracker account with the Participant’s registration account. By registering in Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020, the Participant understands and gives his/her consent to the Organizer in collecting, processing, analyzing, compiling and using for other purposes, data from the Participant’s activity tracker account during the period of Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020.
  10. Organizer may send notifications to Participant through the Participant’s email address as registered with the Organizer. All notifications sent to the Participant’s email address as registered with the Organizer shall be deemed to have been received by the Participant.
  11. The Organizer has the right to limit the number and/or refuse the registration of the Participant who does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, or for any reason based on the discretion of the Organizer, without the need to explain the reasons in detail.
  12. Organizer has the right to close the registration before the registration deadline when the event quota is fully filled.
  13. Participation in Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 is personal in nature. Therefore, the Participant is not allowed to transfer his/her rights, obligations and responsibilities for his/her participation in the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 to any other third party.
  14. The sale and/or transfer of event registration in any way is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and/or prohibition of the individual involved from participating in the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 or in the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge and/or Borobudur Marathon events in the future.
  15. By registering, Participant understands and gives his/her consent to the Organizer in collecting, processing, analyzing and compiling personal information relating to the Participant for the purposes of providing information, planning, data processing, statistics, risk analysis, research, and/or other purposes as a continuation of the Organizer’s functions or powers.
  1. In the event of force majeure occurrence including, but not limited to, wars (whether declared or not), strikes, fires, accidents, violence, social unrest, mass riot, sabotage, outbreaks, pandemics, public activity restrictions, natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods, changes in regulations and/or policies of the government, embargoes, legal reasons, or other matters outside of the power of the parties and which renders Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 cannot be held, then no parties may be claimed to pay for compensation on any damages incurred as a result of such force majeure event.
  2. The Organizer is entitled to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time, in accordance with the policy and discretion of the Organizer, without prior notification, however it will be informed by the Organizer to the Participant using any means or media. For such purpose, participants must independently review the Terms and Conditions regularly by accessing this website.

Rules & Regulations

  1. Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 is held by upholding sportsmanship. Participants are obliged to provide honest and correct running or walking activities data.
  2. Registration for the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 cannot be canceled or transferred in any way without exception.
  3. Participants must be at least 17 years old.
  4. In carrying out Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 activities, participants can run or walk, however not allowed to use any means of transportation, whether operated by machines or not, including or not limited to cars, motorcycles, bikes, electric bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller skates.
  5. All participants are obliged to link Participant’s activity tracker with Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 website. Activity trackers’ accounts that can be linked to the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 website are only accounts from several activity tracker application/system providers that have been limitedly determined by the Organizer.
  6. Synchronization between the Participant’s activity tracking device recording the activities of each Participant with the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 website is the obligation of each Participant.
  7. Activity tracker account linked to and registered on the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 website is the Participant’s own account, even though the email and username are different from the email and name used on the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 website.
  8. The accuracy of Participant’s activity data is the responsibility of the Participant. Organizer is not responsible for the difference in the distance between the activity tracking device and the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 application or website.
  9. Each activity tracker account can only be linked to one (1) registration account. Synchronizing one (1) activity tracker to more than one (1) registration account can cause failure in sending running or walking activities data.
  10. Participant must complete the total distance for the registered category, with number of activities for each category as follows:
    • Marathon: maximum 4 activities
    • Half Marathon: maximum 3 activities
    • 10K: maximum 2 activities
    • Friendship Run: maximum 1 activity
  11. Participant who does not complete the registered distance within the specified period or number of activities, she/he will be deemed not completing the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 and will not get finisher entitlements.
  12. In carrying out outdoor activities, Participant is obliged to follow and obey protocols of the government or regional government where the Participant carries out activities, in relation to the prevention and spreading of Covid-19, including social distancing and physical distancing.
  13. Activities must be carried out and synchronized during the Borobudur Marathon Virtual Challenge 2020 activities period. Activities carried out or submitted outside of the activities or submission periods shall not be accepted by valid activities.
  1. Participant, in carrying out activities, is acting for and on behalf of him/herself, and is not representing nor is under the responsibility of the Organizer.
  2. Participants shall be fully responsible for the activities conducted (whether indoor or outdoor) and the choice of route.
  3. Organizer shall not be responsible and liable for accidents arising out of the choice of route by the Participant.
  4. Organizer shall not be responsible and liable for the fault, negligence and/or damages of the Participant nor to any damages of third parties due to Participant’s fault and/or negligence, when carrying out activities.
  5. The result of activities of all Participants will be sorted based on the distance completed and submitted, not based on the time taken.
  6. With due consideration of the current condition and situation, Participant is obliged to carry out the activities independently, and NOT carry out the activities in pairs or in groups at the same time.
